Valentines day is just around the corner and I thought I'd introduce you to some items I would consider 'Valentines Essentials'. When it comes to the big day, you'll want to be pampered, primed and looking your absolute best for date night. Therefore it's essential those cracked lips are banished, those hands are soft enough to hold and that your skin smells like a bunch of roses.
QSilica Paw Paw Rescue Ointment - £8.95
QSilica Paw Paw rescue ointment is perfect for banishing those chapped winter lips. We have recently been exposed to so much cold weather, so our lips are probably not in the best condition. Chapped lipstick isn't a good look and trust me - I've been there, done that. The paw paw ointment has a mixture of active ingredients to help hydrate and protect against moisture loss, moisturise the lips, help boost collagen levels and with calendula extract, it can help heal cracked or broken skin. The balm is multi-purpose and can be used on your lips. At £8.95 you can have a variety of skin care needs in just one bottle.
Green People Help is at Hand Gift set £12.95
My hands are always the first to show signs of the cold weather, often resulting in cracking skin and really sore finger tips. Having arthritis also means my hands can sometimes seize up, which isn't a pretty sight. Moisturising is one thing that helps my hands through the winter months and recently I've been finding the Green People Help is at Hand kit rather useful. The set comes with two organic moisturise gloves and the product. When you go to bed, it's advised that you apply a generous amount of lotion and cover with the gloves. When you wake up in the morning , you're hands are refreshed and soft as a babies bottom. I love this little kit. It's a wonderful evening indulgence and I feel rather glamorous applying my lotions and potions. My hands are in such a better condition right now, but I admit, I always grow tired of evening routines so I'm hoping that I can stop being lazy and continue to see results.
Woods of Windsor True Rose Body Power £8.99
To complete your body/skin over haul, you should definitely check out Woods of Windsor true rose body powder. I'm a fan of anything vintage and this little product reminds me of something that would be on my grandmas dressing table. She always had such a fabulous range of cosmetics and skin care, definitely favouring the higher end products or bottles that had unique, pretty packaging. True Rose body powder looks like it belongs in a vintage ladies boudoir with elegant bottles and crystals. The packaging is classic and pretty and the product scent evokes a sense of a bed of roses.

I'm loving the sound of that hand kit! My hands, and especially fingers, always go extremely dry during the winter, and it just hurts. Might give this a go :)

Lovely review! I could definitely do with the Q Silica Paw Paw Rescue Ointment right now - my lips have suffered so much from all of the cold weather over the past couple of weeks :(
ReplyDeleteLove the top you're wearing in the first image! xo
You look beautiful, I mainly wanted to comment and tell you that.
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried any of these products but I plan to do a bit more reading about the hands stuff. My hands are so wrecked with the over usage of baby wipes & hand soap!
