The new year only started 7 days ago, yet I've already broken my resolution. I'm absolutely hopeless. There I was just strolling around town with my partner and then he makes the mistake of leaving me alone for half an hour. Within five minutes of walking into my local Boots, the Benefit girls leaped forward and asked me if there was anything I'd like to try. It was like talking to a drug addict looking for their next fix, I leaped forward with excited going saying 'yes, I would like to try so many things'. There's nothing at all worse than a beauty counter giving you a makeover when you're trying to save money. You walk over looking all dreary, wearing smudged up eyeliner and frizzy hair and then suddenly you're transformed into some kind of supermodel. You start questioning yourself as you look in the mirror: "Do I really look like that? Woah, how have they done it?" 10 minutes later and you're walking away with your latest beauty purges and as soon as you get home, you realise your makeup looks nothing like it did and it was all some type of illusion. I fell victim to ladies behind my local Benefit counter - after only five minutes of chatting, I walked away with nearly £50 of makeup after swearing I wouldn't spend a penny. The worst thing is, I've also booked myself into a free makeover slot to test out their next new product, I can guarantee I'll be parting with even more dollar than I imagine.
After my little bit of naughtiness at the Benefit counter, I walked away with this beautiful Porefessional set and the 'Fine One One' which I've currently left at my partners house so I'll be doing another review later. The Porefessional has had a little revamp since I last bought it - the packaging has more of a vintage vibe and now you can buy the set for exactly the same price containing the Benefit 'It's Potent' and 'That Gal'. I came across the Porefessional in a magazine quite awhile back and I carried the sample around everywhere with me. It became one of my favourite products and the sample lasted me months. After it ran out, I don't quite know what happened. I kept seeing it in the shops telling myself 'I need to buy it', but I never really got round to it. I'm glad I waited, because I finally got my hands on the other two products I really wanted to try and at £24.50 it's a great deal.
For those that haven't heard of The Porefessional before (where have you been hiding?) it's one of the UK's best selling primers. The Porefessional helps minimise the appearance of pores and fine lines, leaving your skin feeling silky soft and makeup ready. I really feel a huge difference applying my makeup using this product. My makeup glides on effortlessly and looks more visibility smoother after using The Porefessional, I also notice that my skin feels less irritated and my skin feels in better condition.
I haven't really had much chance to try 'That Gal' and 'It's Potent' yet, I mainly photographed them to show what came in the giftset and as I haven't really used them, I think it's unfair of me to do a review just yet. I will just have to keep you eagerly awaiting for the next review. After all, who doesn't love Benefit?
What's your favourite Benefit product?
Oh what a great set! I absolutely adore the PoreFessional!

These aren't out in Australia yet, but they sound promising. We can't wait to get our hands on them and try them ourselves
