Monday, the start of a new week and the day our minds tend to the most wandering. I really couldn't sleep last night and having not been out of the house since payday, I have the itch to buy some new clothes and do some shopping. This morning I spent at least two hours trying to narrow down the items I'd like to include in my July wish list. There are so many pretty, feminine items on the market right now in beautiful baby pink hues, light blues and soft beige - all of which are great transitional colours for autumn, even though we don't want to be thinking about that just yet. My wish list focuses on cosy, yet comfy breezy summer wear that can be dressed up or down and items that can be switched around to go with any outfit.
The first item on my wish list (well no longer wish list, I bought this two seconds before starting this post) is this River Island Cream cold shoulder word print t-shirt. This tee is lightweight and breezy with open top shoulders that are perfect for the summer weather. The curved hem and dropped sleeves are great for those looking for style and comfort. I have teamed this up with the River Island black coated ripped knee Molly jeggings for a lazy weekend look. I love River Island Molly jeans as they are the perfect fit for my curvaceous hips and really help flatter my tum. I haven't always been a fan of ripped knee jeans, but they are growing on me and something that I have decided I really need to invest in if I feel like having one of those grungy, rock chick style days.
Over the past few months I have really developed a liking towards loafers and these Carvela ones from Selfridges are definitely my style. These slip on loafers are crafted from leather, they come in a versatile summer/autumn colour and have a sporty rubber sole with gold detailing on the front. Sticking with the baby pink/ light beige colour scheme, this would look great matched with the new season Michael Kors handbag I have selected, the baby pink Harper satchel.
Finally, a girl cannot have too many sunglasses and these Tom Ford sunnies from Foxy Specs complete the outfit perfectly. The Tom Ford Whitney sunglasses are one of the most sought after collections from the Tom Ford range due to their signature butterfly wrap style and high glamour appearance. This particular style has been popular with celebrities for years and has been seen on the likes of Angelina Jolie, Keira Knightley and Charlize Theron, to name but a few. The tortoiseshell frame and brown lenses are great for warming paler skin tones and are a great alternative to black during the summer. Designer sunglasses can be expensive, but for me they are great investment pieces and can last for years giving you your money's worth.
What's on your July wish list?
