TENA #Feelfresh Event at Haymarket London Hotel

Did you know that bladder weakness is more common than Hayfever in the UK? Neither did I until I was told last week. Last Sunday I was invited by the team at Tena Lights to an event in London where I would spend the day dispelling some of the stigma surrounding bladder weakness and learning how TENA Lights can leave you feeling fresh all day long. One in three women will experience bladder weakness at some point during their lives and it is something that us ladies are often too embarrassed to speak about amongst our friends, but we shouldn't feel afraid to talk about it. It's a natural thing and the more we speak about it, the more awareness we can bring to the issue and the most comfortable ladies experiencing this will feel.  A few years ago I had kidney stones which were left undetected for awhile and during that time I experienced bladder weakness due to an overreactive bladder. It took me by surprise as I always associated it with people above the age of 40, but the truth is it can happen to anyone at any age.

Thankfully for those suffering from bladder weakness, lights by TENA has you covered. Their packs have four ultra thin liners with 'feel fresh' technology which locks in moisture and odour keeping you feeling fresh all day long and if it doesn't, you will get your money back. To educate us girls on how to keep fresh all day long, I was invited down to an event at the Haymarket Hotel in London for a talk by a TENA ambassador and to help us feel fresh all day long, the lovely team from TENA put on a perfumery class so we could have a go at making our own perfume.

The perfumery class was hosted by leading perfume curator Emmanuelle Moeglin who runs the Experimental Perfume Club. Emmanuelle studied at the International School of Perfume, Cosmetic and Flavour and has worked with some of the worlds leading perfumers developing fragrances for the likes L'Oreal and Paco Rabanne. During the workshop we learnt about which group of scents form base, top and heart notes and sampled 15 different scents, then picked eight of them to form own our unique blend. Once we had picked our favourite scents, we made our own formulas and mixed them by using pipettes and small weighing scales. I was drawn to fruity, floral scents and made my perfume using a base of musk, sandlewood and vanilla, heart notes of jasmine and rose and then had top notes of blackcurrant and bergamot. The end result was a fresh, sweet, oriental style perfume which is what I usually go for.

If you suffer from bladder weakness and you're looking for products which will leave you feeling fresh and confident, you can buy lights by TENA from £1.99 from all major supermarkets and retailers. TENA are so confident with their new products that if you don't like them (which I'm sure you won't) you can opt for your money back via bank transfer, just remember to keep your receipt.

  22. Luckily I have never suffered from bladder weakness, however being pregnant again I'm very aware it could easily be me this time around. It shocks me how many women live with it often silently.
